All butterfly specimens used in Lucimorph creations are sourced through legal and regulated channels that comply with applicable international wildlife trade standards. We do not support the use or collection of endangered species, illegal trafficking, or destructive harvesting practices.
We exclusively feature the Blue Morpho (Morpho menelaus), a non-endangered species that is not listed on CITES appendices, ensuring that our art remains fully compliant with international wildlife trade standards.
Many species commonly used in preserved natural art and educational collections are responsibly raised through sustainable butterfly farming programs. In several regions, these conservation-supported initiatives help provide economic incentives for rainforest preservation and local habitat protection, encouraging long-term environmental stewardship rather than deforestation.
